In the image below you can see the lines that i ve changed on the left.
Roof to wall line revit.
In the drawing area select the walls to detach.
Now select one of or all the walls you that want to attach to the bottom of the roof and mould into the roof s shape.
If you try to add a roof on the lowest level a dialog prompts you to move it to a higher level.
Click modify walls tab modify wall panel attach top base.
Creates a roof using the building footprint to define its boundaries.
Primary among these tools is the pick walls tool which is available when you are in sketch mode and you are creating the edges of the roof footprint.
Select the elements to which the wall will attach.
I just need to go around the rest of the perimeter and apply the overhead line style.
If you choose not to move the roof to a different level revit notifies you later if the roof.

With this line style selected all i need to do is click on each line that i want to apply this style to which is all the lines that make up the perimeter of the roof boundary.
But i want it to end at the roof where i painted the red line.

My problem ist that when i make a section the outer wall goes into the roof.
In this video i show you how to attach the walls in revit to the roof above them.
I have made alot of houses in revit never seen this before.
Select the attach top base tool and then click the roof to attach the wall to the roof.
If you look at pic 2 you can see where i have set my roof footprint and on pic 3 you can see my gutter and fascia staying where i put my footprint.
Revit gives us some great tools for creating and modifying roof overhangs.
I never pick lines or walls.
See the red arrow to the right in the image below.
But if you look at the tiles they stopped at the end off the wall.
Another method is to underlay the floor below into the roof plan and then do a graphics override on the wall catagory to make them dashed etc.
Display a floor plan view or a reflected ceiling plan view.
On the options bar for attach wall select either top or base.
Do the same for any leftover sides.
This happens to your wall it forms into the shape of the roof to cover the gap.
See attached image unfortunately correct me if i m wrong there is still no way of controlling the lineweights of underlayed objects so the walls will be halftone.
Hello i m relatively new to revit and this forum and i hope i m doing this right.
